Manažerské shrnutí studie „Fashion consumption during COVID-19: Comparative analysis of changing acquisition practices across nine countries and implications for sustainability“

Pandemie COVID-19 způsobila a stále způsobuje bezprecedentní narušení každodenního života miliard lidí na celém světě. Ovlivňuje praktiky a zvyklosti ve všech oblastech spotřeby domácností, včetně spotřeby oblečení. Na základě teorie sociální praxe tento článek zkoumá a porovnává změny v praktikách pořizování oděvů během COVID-19 v devíti zemích: USA, Spojeném království, Finsku, Německu, Švýcarsku, Íránu, České republice, Indii a zvláštní administrativní oblasti Hongkong. Data byla získána prostřednictvím standardizovaného dotazníku obsahujícího hodnocené a otevřené otázky, které byly analyzovány pomocí deskriptivní kvantitativní analýzy a induktivní kvalitativní obsahové analýzy otevřených otázek. Výsledky tohoto výzkumu napříč zeměmi ukazují, že během pandemie došlo k poklesu všech forem spotřeby módy, včetně udržitelnějších postupů. Nejviditelnější dopady se projevily v materiálních opatřeních spojených s praktikami získávání módy (např. zavřené fyzické obchody, přerušení dopravy, zrušené akce, práce na dálku atd.). Změny, které jsou důsledkem těchto narušení, však mohou mít kratší trvání než změny, k nimž došlo v důsledku změny významů spojených s módní spotřebou a jejími udržitelnějšími formami a novými kompetencemi a dovednostmi získanými během pandemie, které by mohly zajistit trvalejší praktikování udržitelnějších forem módní spotřeby.
